Seychelles IBC
International Business Company
Time of Update: 2026-04-06
A Seychelles International Business Company (IBC) does not require a local resident to act as a director; legally, there is no mandatory minimum authorised share capital and no minimum paid-up capital requirement; for tax, Seychelles has applied a territorial tax system since 2019—if the company earns only foreign-sourced income, that income/profit is generally not subject to Seychelles business tax, but if it derives Seychelles-sourced income or operates locally, it must pay business tax at the applicable rates (which may be progressive, with higher rates for certain sectors); as for carrying on business in Seychelles, the legal framework has removed the prohibition on IBCs doing business locally, but once the company operates locally it must comply with relevant licensing and tax obligations.
